Mix Title: Holy Shit!...Now That's Some Hillbilly Guitar!

The 60's Country Music scene never produced guitar gods anywhere near as famous as those that came out of the period's rock scene, which is kind of funny when clearly the best hillbilly guitar players of the 60's blew circles around their rock counterparts of the day.  This mix salutes some of those unsung greats.  This compilation was originally a cassette tape that I have personally given to quite a few famous guitar players over the years.  In a way it may have come off somewhat daunting to many of them - at least if they were paying attention to how far these dudes had taken their craft vs. where some of the recipients were at -- but regardless, the title of the mix comes from most peoples' reaction to uniformly startling instrumental tracks -- Holy Shit indeed. 

Note:  This is the CD debut of the original cassette mix and the only copy that will ever be made.
