Bruce Lamont is the powerful set of lungs (vocals, horns) that leads Yakuza, Chicago’s most original take on aggressive music since Ministry.  That reference to Jourgensen & company was by no means a comparison of styles because Yakuza is forging a path all its own.  It is not unusual to hear elements of Miles Davis and Napalm Death in the same Yakuza song. Avant metal, jazzcore, post-apocalyptic psychedelia – all the descriptors fall short of encompassing their unique sound. The image you see above is like the band's family crest.  Don’t be afraid, check this out!

This is the third year that Bruce has done this and he has witnessed a formula emerge.  He explains:  "I try to keep the music fresh stylistically, have an element of Chicago involved and include some personal experiences which would partially explain some of the choices.  Thanks for helping out the kids by bidding on this disc."
